From Roasting the City to Wearing It.
I’m Sean Mayers, a Toronto realtor who accidentally became the guy roasting entire neighbourhoods on TikTok and Instagram. What started as a few sarcastic videos poking fun at King West condo life and Queen West “creatives” turned into a full-blown Toronto obsession with hundreds of thousands of views, endless comments, and one recurring request:
“Sean, you need to make neighbourhood hoodies for this.”
So, I did.
How It Happened
Between showing homes and making roast videos, I realized something. People weren’t just laughing at my neighbourhood jokes; they were identifying with them. They wanted to be seen, celebrated, and slightly roasted for the place they call home. That’s when Hood Co. was born; a streetwear brand for people who love where they live (and can also laugh at it).
Every Hood Co. design nods to the vibe, chaos, and charm of Toronto’s real neighbourhoods; from the espresso-fuelled overachievers in Liberty Village to the tote-bag philosophers in Trinity Bellwoods.
It’s local pride with a smirk.
What We’re About
Hood Co. isn’t tourist merch.
It’s neighbourhood streetwear made for the people who actually live here, pay the rent, walk the dogs, and line up for overpriced coffee.
We keep it simple:
- Quality first. Premium blanks, clean design, minimal waste.
- Local focus. Real Toronto, not the airport gift-shop version.
- Humour included. Because if you can’t laugh at your hood, you probably don’t live here.
The Idea Behind It
I built Hood Co. for everyone who saw a roast and said, “That’s me.”
It’s an homage to the city; written in sarcasm, printed in cotton. Because Toronto doesn’t need another skyline logo. It needs something that actually gets it. So go ahead; Wear your hood. Rep your vibe.
And if it gets roasted on TikTok? You know you’re doing something right.
